AN ARTS MANAGER

Hey,
I am Priyanka

I’m a multidisciplinary artist working across film, painting, and curation. My practice moves fluidly between independent work and collaborations within broader networks of artists, artisans, researchers, and cultural workers. In addition to creating films and paintings, I’m deeply engaged in curatorial and design work—spanning grassroots exhibitions, institutional projects, and archival interventions.

At the heart of my practice is a commitment to building sustainable, supportive infrastructures for other artists, particularly those navigating the edges of the art world. I approach my role not only as a creator, but as a facilitator—invested in fostering more inclusive and equitable creative ecosystems.

I am and always will be an artist at heart.

Trained as a filmmaker and visual artist, I gradually transitioned into curatorial and institutional practice. My professional journey includes roles at Interstellar Art Gallery, Artery India, and Method—where I managed exhibitions, programming, and gallery operations across both digital and physical spaces.

Currently, I work with the Fearless Foundation for the Arts while pursuing advanced studies in Indian Aesthetics at Jnanapravaha, Mumbai. My practice is grounded in critical inquiry and committed to fostering inclusive, artist-centered spaces.

Curation

A year-long residency supporting emerging women artists from seven South Asian countries. I co-curated an intensive week in Sri Lanka where artists were trained in Fearless’s activist mural methodology, community-led storytelling, and feminist pedagogy. The program empowered participants to develop site-specific art and lead workshops addressing urgent social issues in their own communities.

Fearless Ambassador Program 2025

Fearless Foundation for the Arts

Sri Lanka, 2025

A curated presence across three spaces at the AWID Forum, including a mural, an event with the Equality Fund, and a poster exhibition called ‘ Art of Resistance’. The project presented visual responses to urgent issues in South Asia, amplifying voices across Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

AWID - Association for Women’s Rights in Development
Fearless Foundation for the Arts-

Bangkok 2024

A multi-format exhibition spotlighting Fearless’s project in Jaisalmer, where ancestral water systems were revived through local collaboration. The display featured a photostory on easels, recent films, and mural works using natural pigments sourced from India and Mexico. Presented during Climate Week, it explored ecological memory, place-based storytelling, and sustainable artistic practices.
